Gosforth Bowling Club v Bowls England Team

On a scorching hot day (20th June) Gosforth played a Bowls England Representative Team. The BE team consisted of top players from around the country. Played in great spirit England ran out the Victor's at107-83 .

Gentlemen & members of Gosforth BC,
On behalf of myself and the Bowls England team who visited you yesterday may I most sincerely thank you for a wonderful day. Everything was perfect, from the very welcome cup of tea on arrival served by lovely ladies to the perfect playing surface and the great fellowship that our sport gives right up to the most wonderful tea. Gosforth will be remembered for this hospitality, and new friendships made.
May I personally wish the club continued success in all your leagues and competitions and a further great 102 years , and to your President Simon further successes this season.
